HERE WE GO!!

2024 is nearly over already, but not without one huge pick-me-up. Back in August, I travelled down to our friends at Maker’s Mark distillery and spent the day creating, what should simply be called, art. The result is our 2024 barrel pick of Maker’s Mark Private Select. To say barrel pick, however, does it a gross injustice, as this bourbon has been created and designed to provide us with a completely unique and purposefully finished profile, fit for the salivatory palates of this group!

Those of you who knew I was heading down to do this, and who were part of our original Maker’s Private Select barrel, largely asked/told me to please just come home with the exact same bourbon as the last one. It was a very tough decision about what to do, but that was in 2017 and things have developed since then, so, I gave it a go. I agree with all of you, that the 2017 Private Select is the best bourbon that I have ever had. Like you, I have one bottle saved for an occasion that will never be a good enough reason to open it, but because of that, I was challenged to create something that would be able to give me that reason. An equally good, or, dare I say, even better whiskey.

I will leave that verdict down to you, but all I will say is that I have named this whiskey, “Goosebumps” for a reason.

As always, your participation in this release will “gift” you bottles to stock your shelf with, or use as Christmas pressies for your besties. In this case, each ticket will receive 4 bottles. The ticket cost is $380. I understand that some of you may want to leave with more than that. You can, of course, purchase more than one ticket, but if you want an in between number, please message me separately about it and if it’s available, we can do it.

You will also see an option for bringing a guest to the event, as before. This is for up to two guests only, per ticket. If you are coming solo, be sure to toggle this option to “0” before paying!
